MODRET Description

MODRET is an interactive computer program that calculates saturated and unsaturated infiltration losses from stormwater retention/detention pools in unconfined aquifers. It uses a modified MODFLOW version. Other unique capabilities include: The generation of single watershed stormwater hydrographs using the SCS unit hydrograph, Rational, Santa Barbara urban hydrograph methods and graphical display. Routing runoff hydrographs (MODRET and/or other) through infiltration losses in ponds and generation infiltration routed hydrographs. Specification of stormwater retention/detention devices (weirs/orifices, rating curves) and calculation of peak discharges and total volume. Generation of groundwater elevation cross-sectional graphics using ZOOM capabilities. Generation of XYZ data files that can be used by other programs like AutoCAD, Surfer, and so on. to create 3-D surface and groundwater contour maps.
