The device can be mounted on a tower or other outdoor locations thanks to its weatherproof outdoor case. It supports passive PoE input as well as passive or 802.3af/at PoE output. Other PoE-capable devices can be powered by the Ethernet ports 2-5 with the same voltage as the unit. There are fewer power adapters and cables that you need to worry about. It can power 802.3at or af mode compatible devices when 48-57 input voltage has been used. The device also has an SFP port that allows for optical fiber connectivity. It is small and easy to use. However, it has a powerful 800MHz CPU that can handle all advanced configurations supported by RouterOS. The operating system is preinstalled on the device and licensed.
