Summary: ACT Pro meets my needs and I will keep using it. Overall I would recommend it in a sales and/or marketing use. For personal use it is rather expensive.
Positive: I first started using ACT many years ago when I was managing all the sales and marketing for my computer software company. It did the job I needed done, making it easy for me to look up interactions with individuals and companies. I never used more than 20% of the features, I must admit. Once I left that business I continued to use ACT in a personal/private manner. Life is complicated. I depend on ACT to track my friends, relatives, and all the companies and professionals I interact with. Again, I don't probably even use 20% of the features anymore, but what it does for me is priceless. Easy to use and dependable. Best software I know.
Negative: ACT has a lot of features I don't use and which I would rather not be paying for, but as a database it doesn't have any obvious cons. Microsoft updates have screwed it up a couple times, but the support people have understood that and are very helpful.

Summary: We have used ACT! software to manage our online training course since 2004 - almost 20 years! We manages 8 different classes per year in different enrollment plans (Individual, Married Couple, Group License, etc.) and ACT! helps us keep everyone organized and grouped correctly, sending the exact lesson for each class. It is a small compared to bigger companies but it is mighty and does everything we need it to.
Positive: I can import online registrations direction into ACT!, manage students, send weekly lessons, all from one program.
Negative: It does SO much more than I use it for. I wish I had time to watch more training videos.

Summary: Far exceeded my expectations. I did not expect them to respond so quickly but they did. They were super nice throughout the whole ordeal.
Positive: I thought I had lost all my contacts and the Act! Support Team was very quick to respond. My call was answered in under 3 minutes and they did everything they promised. I would highly recommend Act!
Negative: For me, there were no cons. They did everything they said they were going to do.

Summary: I'm a client for more then 10 years and don't look for a change. Price is competitive and service from tech support is good most of the time.
Positive: Changes are not significant every year, they listen to the customers.
Integration is good with other products.Negative: Complex sql, I have to call most of the time tech support.

Summary: I have used it for over twenty years and will continue until I retire. Totally satisfied with the product and their service.
Positive: I have used ACT for almost twenty years. I have found it to be user friendly. I find the integration of ACT with the Microsoft Office Products a real plus in the fact that you can track all of the various types of correspondence with you customers and set follow up dates for specific activities using the synchronization of the two calendars. I moved from the desktop version to the Cloud Version and have found this system so much better when I have to travel nationally or internationally. As long as I have access to the internet, I am in business anywhere in the world. I know I do not use all of the features and benefits of the software but I liked the fact that I can customize it to my business needs makeing me even more comfortable with the system. I do recommend that you include the technical support program with the software and now you can find a quick answer to problems when upgrades from Microsoft with their products requires a special ACT Patch or whatever.
Negative: I would like more "best practices" presented to me so I can either try something new within the programming or change the way I use a particular feature, so it is more beneficial to me in terms of saving time.

Summary: The most important feature is the online remote session support is best. I would recommend this product and business to anyone.
Positive: I have used this product for over 20 years. The mail merge feature works incredible. The hybrid version allows you to work at home or the office or if you travel. You have it on your desktop and cloud to login remotely. You also can change the entire layout and customize it.
Negative: The are none at this time, the CRM works really well.

Summary: Overall, this is a very good product and allows the user to customize it for his particular applications.
Positive: I have shifted from the self-hosted version to the cloud based. The ability to incorporate my phone has been a big plus. All sales information is constantly at my fingertips.
Negative: Sometimes it is slow. Obviously, a lot depends on the internet connection. But in general, it is a very sound product.

Summary: Excellent -- the processes of entering and retrieving information is quick -- meaning no delay in these processes. I also appreciate the fact I can attach Invoices to the customers' service records. It provides such valuable information.
Positive: Issues were taken care of in a timely manner; and after the update, all is working well. I really appreciate SCT as a service record "keeper" for our business. It really helps to provide wonderful information.
Negative: It does have a tendency to "go down" at times -- but really other than that I have no complaints.

Summary: Overall, I am happy with the program in that it has met my needs over the years. ACT appears to cater to large organizations these days; whereas it was more suited to the smaller organization many years ago when it was first introduced.
Positive: As a CRM the program is simple to use and provides me with a quick and easy tool to keep track of all my customers, organize my time using the calendar, keep notes covering customer activity and most recently create and transmit e-blasts to my customers.
Also tech support is excellent, available through the majority of the week and the wait time is satisfactory.Negative: For a small organization (like ours) the program cost is becoming too expensive. Also, the program is not as intuitive as it was in the early years.

I have complained in the past about the functionality of the "NOTES" section and still to day the NOTES section needs to be improved; especially when pasting in text, images and charts from a MS Outlook email.Act! Company Response -

Summary: I would recommend ACT. I have no issues with using ACT and it is truly a great help in my daily tasks.
Positive: the staff members who i have spoke with at ACT regarding issues i have had are great. Very knowledgeable and easy to work with.
Negative: I truly can't say that I have any issues. Only possible issue would be wait time for a staff member to connect. But that is very seldom.

Summary: Very good good customer support.
Positive: Ease of use.
Cost.Negative: Editing function in text box is still very rudimentary. There is no cut paste feature unless one goes to the keyboard for example. The formatting box follows you wherever your cursor is. When you’re typing in a small box, the formatting box covers the whole screen.

Summary: For the most part I am very happy with Act and would recommend it to anyone needing a high quality well supported contact management program.
Positive: The ease of use for me is great. I've been using ACT for more than 25 years! I first starting using it when I was using Mac based computers. When ACT no longer support Macintosh I switched to PC just to be able to use ACT. It was well worth the transition.
Negative: Since I am a very small company and it is only me using the product I would like the cost to come down. It's a little expensive for me.

Summary: Excellent. It serves the purpose my company and I want to achieve with it. It is powerful and we can utilize many of its capabilities. WE can group contacts and plan our days more efficiently.

Summary: Overall, Act! CRM is a pretty robust customer relationship management product. It helps to enhance productivity and shares a more clear sales pipeline overview. The project report it shares is highly informative.
