Summary: Crunchbase is a quick, easy way to get data on private market companies.
Crunchbase also has by far the best data on private market companies, much more accessible than Pitchbook which is also an alternative.Positive: Great platform for easy accessible information on private market companies, by far the best.
Helps with company information, funding, technology used, investments, board members, and much more.
Crunchbase also allows you to connect to your external CRM which is helpful for tracking companies externally and adding your own data as well.Negative: You only get a limited amount of views without paying, which can be an inconvenience; they also just recently released that feature over the last few months.

Summary: Without a renewal notice, charged me USD 588 with almost no way to get a refund.
I have used it for 1 hour and definitely don't plan to use it. For not using it rest of the year, I am paying USD 588.
Very cunning practices by this company. Going to review it on every possible review site to make everyone aware of their fraudulent practices.Positive: None. Hard to say any pro. Data on it is available on several other free sources. They just compile it together and make it pretty.
Negative: Extremely expensive. Data on it, was available on other sites for free. Definitely do not even start a free trial. Because, if you forget by chance, the company is not going to send a reminder for renewal and will charge you total annual subscription charge.

Do Not Purchase!!! Date: Jun 15 2021
Summary: Terrible! I was initially excited to use this product and then my developers looked into it and found nothing was useful.
Positive: The free version is all you need, I see no pros to buying this product. The information is outdated and it cost me over $1500.
Negative: For $1500 they provide outdated information, you can find most if not all this information with a Google search. Stating that Crunchbase is not value for money. They charge yearly with no monthly option for this reason, once you realize the information is not valid you are stuck and they will not refund. We used their boost functionally to look at tech stacks but because most companies are using third parties these aren’t shown so you are only left seeing the underlying basics which everyone already knows.
