Enhanced Monitoring Efficiency Edited: Oct 10 2023
Summary: Boro Probes offer an efficient solution for monitoring broadcast feeds in real-time. Their robust monitoring capabilities allow for immediate detection of issues such as packet loss or video freezing, which is crucial in ensuring smooth broadcast operations. The system's alerting feature is invaluable, providing timely notifications that enable rapid response to any arising problems, thus significantly enhancing operational efficiency.
It makes an attractive choice for the broadcast industry. By providing a fast and reliable monitoring solution, they help in maintaining high-quality broadcasts and contribute to reducing operational costs by minimizing the downtime and resources required to troubleshoot issues.Positive: The Elecard Boro Probes significantly boost situational awareness by enabling real-time monitoring of numerous feeds simultaneously. This holistic view allows for a quick overview of all probes, making it easy to identify and delve into the ones exhibiting issues. The email alerting feature is particularly beneficial, as it swiftly draws attention to any problems, ensuring that prompt action is taken to resolve them. This level of immediate awareness and responsiveness is invaluable in maintaining high operational standards and ensuring the continuous delivery of high-quality broadcast content.
Negative: Historically, a notable downside has been the absence of an API, which posed some limitations in integrating with other systems. However, with the advent of the latest versions, an API is being introduced which is a significant improvement. Another area with room for enhancement is the reassignment of probes between projects. A more flexible reassignment feature would simplify management and improve usability, especially in dynamic environments where projects evolve rapidly.

A Game-Changer in Live Broadcast Distributed Monitoring Date: Sep 22 2023
Summary: Our 24/7 monitoring services are unparalleled, ensuring peace of mind for all involved parties. Trust me, this product is a game-changer.
Its user-friendly interface, affordable capital(Low-cost servers) operational expenditures, and advanced analytics make it a valuable asset for any broadcasting organization. The software's functionalities cater perfectly to real-time, high-pressure broadcasting requirements, ensuring that it is a dependable option for our team.Positive: I am thrilled to share how essential continuous monitoring is for live sporting events. Distributed monitoring is incredibly effective for overseeing signals at the network's border and handing them over to clients. With increased insight into the performance analysis of our transport streams, our TOC team uses the system 24/7 to monitor IP Transport streams (UDP and RTP); from time to time, we also direct SRT monitoring.
The probe functionality allows quick identification of specific events and their root causes through event search and root cause identification, which is critical in live broadcasting.
One of the standout features is the ease with which new probes can be deployed. This flexibility is particularly advantageous for global networks and the events we work on worldwide, allowing for quick and efficient scaling of monitoring capabilities.
The Elecard team provides prompt and helpful support, ensuring smooth operations at all times - from server selection to installation settings.Negative: The absence of a built-in multiviewer is the only downside. However, its inclusion would significantly increase the hardware requirements.
